Does this require IT involvement? +

No. The SynapSYS API connection is managed entirely by CaseFlow. Your ModMed admin approves the connection in the SynapSYS Marketplace portal — a one-time action that takes about 5 minutes. No middleware, no HL7 interface servers, no IT ticket needed.

Will staff see double appointments in ModMed? +

No. The integration is writeback-aware — when a patient confirms via SMS in CaseFlow, the status updates in ModMed without creating a duplicate appointment. Staff see the same single record they've always seen, now with real-time confirmation status.

Can we turn off the sync? +

Yes — instantly. You can pause or disconnect the integration from the CaseFlow dashboard at any time. No data is retained beyond what you've explicitly configured, and disconnection takes effect immediately.

Does this work with multi-location ModMed practices? +

Yes. The SynapSYS API supports multi-location practices — each location's OR schedule is synced independently. You can configure which providers and locations are included in the SMS cadence from the CaseFlow dashboard.
